Thank you for stopping by. I have so many things to talk about and so many opinions to share but I wanted to start by sharing a brief introduction and a warning.

First the intro. I intend for this blog to be a statement. I also intend to make a concerted effort to post multiple times a week. I will share my thoughts on a wide range of subjects in the social, political and religious landscapes. Every one of my posts will be thought provoking and polarizing……trust me. If you agree with everything I say you should probably seek out therapy because I’m a mess. My ideology is conservative, with a healthy sprinkling of common sense, respect for others and centricism…….(I just made that word up. You’re welcome.) I do not intend to share much on my personal background except as it relates to particular topics, firstly and most importantly because its none of your business, and secondly because it just provides fodder for the trolls. I am a newbie. I’m going to make mistakes, feel free to point them out, respectfully.

Second, the warning. I’m not here for friends or to be a mouthpiece for the system(s). I am and will be polite and respectful, until I’m not. I am looking forward to debating, learning and spreading the word that not everyone believes what you do, thinks what you think and needs what you need, and that’s ok.

We have lost the ability, collectively, to understand and respect viewpoints that differ from our own. We have come to the point where OUR truth is THE TRUTH. Trauma is the latest “IT” word. We’ve been programmed to turn our challenges into trauma and our trauma into EVERYONE’S reality.

You are not perfect and neither is anyone else, including me. A little more grace and understanding would heal a lot of what ails us. It’s amazing what you can learn when you shut up and listen. I learned early on in life that the loudest opinion is usually the most suspect. The vast majority of folks are good people just trying to get on and get along. In the right hands activism is a powerful tool but in the hands of small, single-minded people, activism is being turned into a weapon designed to control and manipulate.

I would like to leave these two thoughts right here………

Just because you can doesn’t mean you should and grace is always the best answer. Grace to be different, grace to be human, grace to learn, grace to err and the grace to live.
